What are lash extensions?
Lash extensions are made from synthetic fibers that resemble an eyelash. They come in different colors, curls, lengths, and diameters. Classic lashes are one single thicker lash applied to a natural lash. Volume lashes are a fan made of 3 or more thinner lashes applied to a natural lash.
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
When applied properly, lash extensions DO NOT cause damage. Damage is caused from lack of aftercare by the client or improper application by the artist involving applying too long or thick of eyelashes, using too much glue, and not properly isolating eyelashes.
How often do I need to get my lashes done?
Because of the natural growth cycle of eyelashes, they will shed at different rates. It's normal to lose up to 5 natural eyelashes a day, so a typical lash fill is every 2-3 weeks. As long as you have 30 extensions left on each eye, it will be considered a fill.
How do I care for my lash extensions?
Lash extensions require maintenance to ensure they last and to prevent unwanted infections. Make sure you cleanse and brush them daily, avoid touching or picking at them, avoid wearing mascara or longwearing eye makeup, sleep on your back, and do not use any products around the eye area containing oils or glycerin.
What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls your natural lashes upwards, lasting up to 8 weeks. Just like lash extensions, results are customizable and a tint can also be added to darken your lashes.
Can I wear eye makeup with a lash lift?
Yes, you can still wear eye makeup as normal with a lash lift, but you may no longer feel like you need it!
